Do you love photographing wildlife, but often find it frustrating because long telephoto lenses are needed? Having traveled the world to many exotic locations: It’s expensive and often the wildlife opportunities can be very unreliable. The solution is a photo tour to a well-known and respected game farm where well cared for animals are photographed in very natural surroundings with relatively short lenses. For our wildlife models, the most commonly used lens is a 70-200 with a 1/4x converter or 100-400 or equivalent. I use the new Canon 100-400 IS II on a 7D Mark II cropped body and 5D Mark IV full frame with stunning results from both systems. These focal lengths offer great flexibility on framing subjects.

Join nature/wildlife photographer Adam Jones for an outstanding opportunity to learn and work with one of the best photographers/instructors around. The workshop is timed perfectly to take advantage of the winter season when the animals fur coats are plush and at their prime. This time of year often features hard crusty snow, perfect for the animals to stand on and perfect for capturing those once in a lifetime opportunities.

Wildlife models may include, Moutain Lion, SiberianTiger, Bobcat, Lynx, Wolves, Bears, Snow Leopard, Amur Leopard, Coyote, Arctic Fox and Red Fox.

Adam is well known for his photographic expertise and his ability to convey techniques and complex concepts in everyday language everyone understands.

The Workshop Includes:

A great opportunity to photograph healthy, rare and seldom seen wildlife in natural environments on the Triple D grounds and on location in beautiful Montana.

A minimum of 8 photo sessions during our three day workshop

Setting up your camera to work the way you want, composition, depth of field, ISO considerations, lighting, proper techniques for wildlife shooting, focus tracking and focus point selection.
