Winter Wildlife Photography Workshop

Event Full
Join Waiting List

Do you love photographing wildlife, but often find it frustrating because long telephoto lenses are needed? Having traveled the world to many exotic locations: It’s expensive and often the wildlife opportunities can be very unreliable. The solution is a photo tour to a well-known and respected game reserve where well cared for animals are photographed in very natural surroundings with relatively short lenses. For our wildlife models, the most commonly used lens is a 70-200 with a 1/4x converter or 100-400 or equivalent. I used the new Canon 100-400 IS II on a 7D Mark II body for 98% of my shots last year with stunning results. More Info

At first Glance the Navajo Reservation might appear as a vast featureless landscape, but for the intrepid traveler he/she might describe it as a wonderfully colorful land of deep canyons, twisted taffy like rock formations and a maze of stunning beauty. This description is only half of what you might see, the other half is the palette in which the landscape is colored and how this high desert region got its name "Painted Desert". There are many well known locations throughout the Painted Desert, the slot canyons, Grand Canyon, Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce and Zion N.P, to name a few, but there are indeed countless others.
