Fall in Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island is a photographic paradise. The park is relatively compact, allowing us plenty of time to slow down and really explore our creative vision at each location. The rugged pink granite shoreline is famous for spectacular coastal cliff views bathed in warm sunrise light. Fall is the perfect season to explore the diverse beauty of Acadia as deciduous leaves turn yellow and red among the mixed conifer forests. Join us as we photograph granite cliffs, cobblestone beaches, quite ponds large and small, and quaint harbors. We’ll visit Cadillac Mountain, the highest mountain on the eastern coast, noted for red blueberry foliage and lichen covered boulders as foregrounds to sweeping vistas at sunrise. Several locations along the coast are spectacular for exploring long exposures where waves meet the rugged coastline and round boulders. Bring your ND filters for long exposure daylight shooting situations.

This is a photographic tour, not our usual workshop, as such we will not be holding formal classroom lectures. Instead we are discussing and demonstrating techniques on location every session as needed or requested. Weather permitting, we will be out very early and returning late: photographing and learning in a relaxed fun atmosphere. Donna and I will be with you in the field at each location, instructing as needed in each situation. There will be plenty of one of one interaction with both instructors in the field.
Donna is a personal friend and fantastic nature photographer and Nikon user who loves to share her knowledge with others, I'm sure you’ll enjoy the time shared with Donna: www.donnaeatonphoto.com
